Acquis Consulting Group's Corporate Travel Practice Lead Hansini Sharma was featured in Business Travel News for her leadership role as co-founder and co-lead of the Travel and Meetings Society (TAMS) startup incubator program. Sharma and her team selected six inaugural participants from 23 applicants. Sharma will lead the five-month incubator program from July through December.
In discussing the selection process, Sharma emphasized the program's diverse approach, stating, "There's a mix of leisure and corporate travel that we're excited about. We never intended to be only corporate-travel-focused." She explained that her team selected companies with skill sets that matched what the TAMS community could provide. Additionally, Sharma is developing a complementary mentoring program where selected mentors will commit four hours per month to help prepare participating companies for funding opportunities. TAMS will begin accepting mentor applications June 22.
