Elizabeth Karnes was fortunate enough to follow a management consulting career path after two and a half years pre-med and one unfortunate physiology lab involving rats. She retains the early onset “physician’s penmanship.”
Elizabeth is an Associate at Acquis with deep life sciences consulting experience and a background in biotech startup and venture capital firms. She weaves her innovative spirit into her professional relationships, project intents, and client engagements. Based on her experience, Elizabeth believes that tying business objectives to client needs can benefit not only the customer but the industry and regulations as a whole.
Before joining Acquis, Elizabeth was part of Accenture’s Accelerated R&D practice, where she helped biopharma clients innovate and strategize their businesses. Elizabeth specialized in helping firms redesign their clinical trial processes and operating models to align with new technologies.
Elizabeth obtained a B.A. in biology from Colgate University, where she was also a starting Division1 varsity volleyball athlete and VP of the Tri-Beta Biological Honor Society. She learned how to lead with compassion, prioritize and manage her time, collaborate as part of a team, and make tough decisions in high-pressure environments. Elizabeth has found that these skills invaluable to her career.
