Sean brings his clients the same level of preparation, analytical rigor, and focus on excellence that he brings to racing sailboats.
Sean cares for and races a classic sailboat built in 1928, and has won numerous fleet championships and participated in national regattas. He prepares his crew of four before each race with the same perspective he takes on client engagements: ”Focus on your individual roles, but be prepared to help others, ask for help when needed, and expect the unexpected.”
As head of Acquis’s Procurement and Strategic Sourcing Service, Sean helps clients develop unique and effective strategies to increase profits and improve overall operations. Sean’s 15 years of consulting experience in the U.S., Europe, Brazil, and Japan are concentrated in procurement and sourcing. He has helped established companies with post-merger integrations, supplier rationalization, category sourcing events, demand management initiatives, negotiations, supplier relationship management programs, e-sourcing system selection and implementation, and process/organization redesign. Sean also helps midsize companies develop procurement and sourcing strategies and objectives, processes, organization design, metrics/KPIs, and systems architecture with a focus on current and future business needs.
Most recently Sean led a sourcing group transformation for a rapidly growing e-commerce organization with operations in more than 50 countries. He helped the company achieve greater profitability by improving the supply chain and preparing it for future growth, rationalizing the supply base, and implementing improved P2P processes and tools.
