Melissa tackles every process and opportunity through two lenses: a keen attention to detail and a holistic understanding of the big picture.
This approach applies whether she’s planning out the itinerary for her next travel adventure, designing a new Pinterest-inspired DIY home accent, or analyzing data for optimal time and resource allocation.
Melissa believes that things are better in pairs. From combinations such as integrity + intelligence, to social impact + the bottom line, or fried chicken + waffles, she appreciates seeing innovation emerge from concepts working in tandem. Acquis’s motto of THINK+DO is no exception.
By bringing this dual-focused approach to her work at Acquis, Melissa straddles her creativity and entrepreneurial spirit with an analytical and logic-driven mindset. On a recent engagement, Melissa analyzed the existing organizational structure of a non-profit, then worked with the client to identify their needs, and combined this information with benchmark data to design a future state model that helped the organization meet their goals. Her array of project experience includes spearheading social services programs, performing data analysis, and developing visual marketing tools and strategies.
Melissa holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature & Sociology from Macaulay Honors College at Hunter College, and is a candidate for a Masters in Business Administration at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College, with a focus on Strategy & Data Analytics . She loves living and eating on the Lower East Side and aspires to open her own social enterprise café in the neighborhood.
